Event Period

Registration Day: From now to 22nd AUGUST, 2025.

Tournament Flow

  • There are two separate courses available, Online and Offline courses.
    Please see below for more information on each course.
  • The 1st place winners from the Online Course will compete against the 1st-3rd place winners from the Offline courses at the GBWC Australia Grand Final.
    1st place winners from the Online Course must display their work at the venue for judging against the Offline course.
    Interstate flights and accommodation will be covered for 2 days and 1 night for the 1st place winners in the Offline course to attend and display their work at the GBWC Australia Grand Final. 1st-3rd place winners of each preliminary round will compete in the Australia Final to determine the champions.
  • Online course is recommended for participants who either do not want to or cannot display their work at the physical event.
    Offline course participants are required to display their work at the physical event in order to be applicable for judging.

Courses

The same for both online and offline Courses.

  1. 1. U-14 Course: 6 to 14 years old (Born on or after January 1, 2011 ~ Born before December 31, 2019)
  2. 2. U-20 Course : 15 to 20 years old (Born on or after January 1, 2005 ~ Born before December 31, 2010)
  3. 3. OVER-21 course : 21 years old and older (Born on or before December 31, 2004)

* Minors must have the consent of a parent or guardian to enter.

Flow of the Tournament and Judging Method

【Registration】

* The same for both online and offline course.

  • Contestants must apply through GBWC official website. (This website)
  • The application period commences from now to August 22nd, 2025.
  • Contestants must read and agree to the terms presented in the Terms and Conditions agreement.
  • Please select on the form whether you would like to participate in the online or offline course.
  • Please fill in all the required information in the form.
  • Images of entry work (contestant application) are required for registration.
  • Any fees accrued by your access method and connection to the website are your own responsibility.
  • All incomplete, illegible, tardy, or duplicate applications, will be disqualified.
    Please only apply for one course - Any duplicated application found, all entries submitted by an individual will be disqualified.
    If you would like to update or correct your registered information, please contact GBWC office (GBWC_GLOBAL@bandai-hobby.net) directly.
  • A confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address once you have completed your online application.
  • If entry work is judged to be against any rules or regulations of the contest, you will be disqualified without any prior notice. You can apply again during the application period.

【Judging Method and Announcement of Results for Each Tournament】

[Offline Preliminary]

  • Both the images submitted at the time of application and the actual work brought to the event venue will be considered for judging.
  • The exhibition of entries, judging, and results announcement ceremony will be held at the following event.
  • Event Date: September 23rd, 2025 - October 12th 2025.
  • Venue: Broadway Shopping Centre, Sydney, NSW.
  • Prize Award Ceremony: October 12th, 2025 (Sun)
    • Offline course applicants will be required to display their work at the venue for judging. Works can be dropped off at Hobbyco QVB on Level 2 from the 15th to 22nd September 2025 or directly at the venue before 10 am on the 22nd September 2025. Works can then be picked up after the closing ceremony or from Hobbyco QVB within 2 weeks.
      Please contact Hobbyco if you cannot set up your works within these time frames and Hobbyco will organise an alternative for you.
    • Works will be exhibited and judged at the venue.
      Participants whom cannot collect their entry work on October 12th, 2025, Hobbyco staff will handle the entry work but are not responsible for any damage incurred.

      * The results will be announced in the event.
      * We will contact you by email at a later date with details about your participation on the day of the event.

    • The 1st-3rd place winners of each course will qualify for the Australia Final.

[Online Preliminary]

  • Images of works submitted at the time of application will be considered.
  • Online course participants are not required to display their work at the venue. (Except for the 1st place winners in the online course)
  • GBWC committee will conduct an initial screening of all entries, and all entry works pass the screening will be posted on the GBWC official website.
  • Final judging will be conducted from the entries that pass the initial screening to determine the 1st to 3rd place winners in each course.
    The results will be announced on this website.
  • The results of the first round of judging will be announced on September 10, and the final results will be announced on September 12th.
  • The 1st place winners of each course will qualify for the Australia Final. The finals will be held at THE GUNDAM BASE POP UP SYDNEY & GBWC 13th TOURNAMENT, the 1st-3rd place winners from Online course are invited to display winning work at the event on October 12th, 2025 (Sun).
  • Interstate flights and accommodation will be covered for 2 days and 1 night for the 1st place winners in the Offline course to attend and display their work at the GBWC Australia Grand Final.
    If the 2nd and 3rd place winners would like to display their work at the physical event, they will be responsible for their own transportation costs and must advise in advance if they are planning to display their works so space can be allocated accordingly.

[Australia Finals]

  • The winners of the Australian Final will be chosen from the 1st-3rd place winners from Online and Offline courses.
  • The schedule for exhibiting works, judging, and announcing results is the same as for the offline preliminary.
  • Both the images submitted at the time of application and the actual work brought to the venue will be considered for judging.
  • The 1st place winners in each category will advance to the World Cup.

    * Details of the World Cup will be announced to the participants at a later date.
    * The schedule may change without notice.

    Gold, Silver, Broze trophies and HGUC 1/144 RX-78-2 GUNDAM SMOKE BLACK CLEAR Ver. only available for Australia Final winners.

Participation Award

All participants except those who are disqualified are eligible for obtaining an official badge of the GUNPLA BUILDERS WORLD CUP 13th TOURNAMENT. (Gifts are avaliable while stocks last, on a first come first serve basis)

Offical badges can be collected after the finals ceremony.
If participants are unable to attend the finals ceremony, official badges will be shipped to participants’ address at a later date
