Clan Battle!!!

The Pomeranians take on a new adversary in the restricted zone outside of Izuma colony - Side 6!! The diorama depicts the GQuuuuuuX and Red Gundam executing a high speed MAV manoeuvre against a pair of custom mobile suits as part of an illegal clan battle situated in the space outside of Izuma Colony The focus of the entry is on dynamic composition and posing, the entire structure is suspended 25cm off the table with the various mobile suits floating off the colony itself projecting a dynamic in-action scene which is designed to provide interesting areas of focus when viewed from all angles. The colony itself provides the backdrop for the scene and is inspired by the depiction of Izuma colony in the show as it transitions between dusk and night time. Over 100 individual fibre optic lights were drilled into a custom designed city scape. The city lights loop animations with different colours, lighting and gradients inspired by the night time shots of Izuma Colony. The 2 custom suits which act as the opponents were originally Police Zaku kits but have been kitbashed and customised from over 6 different kits of various grades with one version serving as a damaged/destroyed unit with various parts of its assembly coming off the main frame. The funnels are customized from the MG Gundam Crossbones backpack and are connected in place to the shoulders of each MS with wires Modifications have been made across GQuuuuuX and red gundam as well to improve colour separation and details across the surfaces of the suits. UV reactive paints have been used to highlight the weapons and eyes. The proportions and hands of the kits have been modified to give a more dynamic pose. The placement of the GquuuuuuX is shown divekicking into the enemy MS with them crashing into an orbiting satellite sending debris everywhere, the GQuuuuuuX has been balanced with a metal rod through its leg, through the enemy suit and into the satellite in order to hide the supports holding it in place.
