Breakthrough depicts the RX-178 Gundam Mk-II breaking free from the totalitarian regime of the Titans to transcend into the next generation A.E.U.G. mobile suit- the MS-Z006 Zeta Gundam! A paintjob featuring the transition from the dark Titans to the white A.E.U.G. color scheme has been adopted for the Mk-II to show the transcendence. The Zeta is conceptualized as an open-hatch unit to reflect the nascent formation from the Mk-II. The repressive regime is represented by the scratch-built self-destructive giant hand of the MRX-009 Psycho Gundam rising from the structure and the broken chain failing to restrain the Mk-II. The build features techniques such as scratch-building, light kit-bashing, object source lighting to accentuate lighted and burnt surfaces.

The idea of Breakthrough carries several meanings in this build- from the Psycho Gundam breaking through the base and the breakthrough creation of the Zeta Gundam, to the desire of Kamille and the Mk-II to break through the oppressive Titans and transcend beyond!
