Since this is my first custom paint, I started by sanding all the parts by hand. It smoothes any rough surface and seams. In addition, to remove the excess dust, I wash the Zaku II. Then, I paint everything with thicker color of red because red symbolize courage and bravery. For me, it is just the right color to describe Zaku II. Speaking of painting, I just use brushes as my tools to paint. It took some time, but I enjoy carefully apply the color by hand to get the detail just right. Once the paint was dry, I added decals to bring out the finer details and give the model some character. I took extra time to place the carefully so they would stick precisely and look natural. To add a cherry on top, I apply a clear coat to protect the paint and decals. It also helps in giving the model a delightful finish. Overall, I focus on doing manually with care and patience to create the model I'm proud of.
